Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently and promptly
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs and kitchen staff
- Support the storage and organization of ingredients, supplies, and equipment to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed to uphold hygiene standards
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained according to health and safety regulations
- Help with setting up dining areas and clearing tables during service times when needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to create a safe environment for all team members
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen safety procedures
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of hygiene
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Prior experience serving or working in hospitality settings is a plus but not mandatory
