Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated beginner level Maintenance Operative to join our team. Duties
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks across various plant equipment and systems
- Support the inspection and troubleshooting of machinery
- Learn to operate many types of tooling and work equipment
- Participate in basic welding and mechanical repairs as part of ongoing training programmes
- Help with all maintenance tasks including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems alongside skilled engineers and contractors ensuring safety procedures are followed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues promptly
- Support the team in ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and safely
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment
Requirements
- Basic understanding of systems, and mechanical components is desirable but not essential - a willingness to learn and develop is crucial
- Some experience or knowledge of welding and using powered tooling and hand tools is advantageous
- Strong work ethic with an eye for detail and a can-do attitude
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to work safely following health and safety guidelines
- Comfortable working with others as the role involves liaising with other departments or external contractors
- A keen interest in developing technical maintenance skills
- Flexibility in regards to working hours according to the needs of the job in hand
- Available to work occasional weekend overtime if required
- Full driving licence would be an advantage
