Senior Supply Chain Coordinator
Brief Description about the role:
As Senior Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing, improving and detailed reporting on stock activities. Working closely with production, demand planner and sales team, this position ensures all inhouse planning meets the requirements of the outbound operations at the Dartford site, is efficient and ensures logistics partners deliver optimum customer experience.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Provide day to day leadership and oversight to all facets of the outbound and inbound activity, including Finished goods, packaging and Side Products.

Ensure operational control systems are in place and are adhered to e.g. Morning meetings, team huddles, handovers, colleague meetings etc.

Provide ongoing feedback to team members, promptly identify performance / training issues and agree and monitor development plans to ensure they have the necessary skills to carry out all required duties and for succession planning purposes.

Team goals, 1-1’s are set and updated on the UKG system

Actively drive health & safety and GMP standards throughout organisation; ensuring adherence, compliance and active participation in company activities to ensure practices are met and to exceed the company targets of risk management and accident reduction on the VATIX system.

Prioritise and execute plans in line with the operations objectives to ensure that all targets are met (e.g. service, quality, customer spec, legislation etc.)

With supply chain manager, identify and implement improvement to working practices, cost and process efficiency, performance and reliability in the 3rd Third party warehousing and logistics including: vendor management.

Have a responsibility to review daily sales requirements for both Dartford and Peterborough against the plan reducing unecessary costs for failed collections/shortages to customers for both domestic and export Customers.

Taking ownership of strategic supplier management, acting as the main interface between internal teams and Suppliers to obtain the highest quality and most cost effectiveness.

Supplier Performance KPI’s are set, agreed and reviewed via contracted Service Levels. Arranging regular meetings to review KPI’s both with SC Manager and External Suppliers.

Monitor inventory values inline with the Budget, arranging regular cyclical counting to ensuring physical inventory matches the system.

Waste and Lifting equipment management are controlled and account managed.

Report regularly to the SC manager on a daily basis.
Qualifications and Experience:

Degree qualified, or equivalent. A relevant post graduate qualification in warehouse or logistic management is desirable, but not essential.

Solid experience purchasing and supplier management spanning at least 3 years in a factory environment at manager level or equivalent (from Manufacturing, FMCG, Foodservice background)

Knowledge of Microsoft excel, access database and ERP systems such as AX etc

Good written and verbal communication skills, has ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders, using strong influencing skills to gain traction and buy-in on actions required

Experience in managing and leading improvements in inventory turnover/stock accuracy and JIT/Kanban processes.

Self – starter; able to work on their own and contribute as a team, high degree of commerciality and professionalism with a ‘Can Do’ attitude and a commitment to seeing things through to delivery

Strong analytical and organisational skill set – able to plan, prioritise and execute methodically (with supporting administrative skills)
