Front of House Team Member - Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, professional and customer-focused Front of House Team Memeberto join our Front Office team.
As a Front of House Team Member you will be the first point of contact for guests and will help ensure they receive a welcoming and efficient service throughout their stay. This role would suit someone with strong communication skills, good attention to detail and the ability to work confidently in a busy hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out
- Respond to guest enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
- Manage reservations, room allocations and special requests
- Answer telephone calls and accurately record guest messages
- Process payments and follow cash-handling procedures
- Maintain accurate guest accounts and billing information
- Provide information about hotel facilities and services
- Promote and upsell hotel services where appropriate
- Work closely with housekeeping, reservations and other departments
- Assist guests with local information, bookings and luggage enquiries
- Resolve guest queries and minor issues efficiently
- Follow company procedures relating to health and safety, fire safety and security
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in reception, front desk, customer service or hospitality is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly, professional and customer-focused approach
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Good attention to detail
- Basic computer skills and confidence using booking or reservation systems
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- Good problem-solving skills
- Cash-handling experience is beneficial
- Previous hotel experience is an advantage
Working Hours
Applicants should be able to work flexible shifts, which may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays depending on the rota.
