Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Apprentice Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. Experience is not essential as we will teach you everything and we will support you in to complete your Level 3 qualification in Early Years. We do require you to have a passion for working with children, to be hard working, dedicated and sometimes flexible.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years.
- Supervise and support children during play, learning sessions, and daily routines such as mealtimes and rest periods.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians regularly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and organise activities that promote early childhood development.
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent communication skills with children, parents, and team members.
- Manage behaviour effectively, fostering positive behaviour strategies within the nursery setting.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to child records, attendance, and compliance documentation.
- Contribute to the ongoing professional development of staff through training sessions and mentoring.
Requirements
- A passion to want to work with children.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Maths and English GCSE 4 or above
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst demonstrating initiative independently.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a busy nursery environment.
Job Type: Apprenticeship
Pay: £8.00 per hour
