We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and customer-focused Car Park Attendant to join our team and help maintain a busy multi-storey car park to a consistently high standard.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you will be responsible for ensuring the car park remains clean, safe, well-maintained and welcoming for customers, visitors and staff. You will work as part of a team while also being expected to work independently, take initiative and respond professionally to situations as they arise.
Due to the nature of the environment, health and safety is a key priority. You will be expected to follow all relevant health and safety procedures, use equipment correctly, remain alert to potential hazards and help maintain a safe environment for both customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular cleaning duties throughout the multi-storey car park, ensuring all areas are maintained to a high standard
- Use cleaning machinery and equipment safely and effectively to support routine and deep-cleaning activities
- Clean floors, stairwells, walkways, ramps, walls, pillars and other areas as required
- Identify and report defects, damage, spillages, hazards and maintenance issues promptly
- Carry out regular patrols of the car park using a handheld patrol monitoring device
- Accurately record cleaning activities, inspections, patrols and any issues identified
- Assist customers and visitors in a friendly, professional and helpful manner
- Provide directions and general assistance to customers when required
- Support traffic management during busy periods, events, incidents or other situations where required
- Help manage vehicle and pedestrian movements safely within the car park environment
- Respond appropriately to incidents and escalate concerns to the relevant manager or control room
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment at all times
- Follow all company policies, procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Correctly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleaning equipment
- Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of customers, visitors and colleagues
- Complete any other reasonable duties associated with the role
Previous experience in cleaning, facilities management, car park operations, traffic management or a customer-facing environment would be advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
