Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Yard Operative to join our team at Northamptonshire's largest and most established Reclamation Yard. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the yard and ensuring the smooth operation of our Towcester yard.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard and customer area, ensuring all materials are stored properly and safely.
- Assist in loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring safe handling of goods.
- Communicate effectively with team members to co-ordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensuring products can be easily identified by all through the use of signage and POS
- Telephone and on-site stock and sales enquiries.
- Saturday work involved
Skills
- Full UK Driving License desireable
- Experience in Builders merchants or Retail environments preferable
- "Can-do" attitude and the willingness to learn on the job.
- Candidates must be physically fit for a very 'hands-on' role
- Basic knowledge of building and landscaping materials is a plus, but not essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in varied roles
- Effective communicator and well presented
- Great customer service skills are a 'must'

Pay: £12.90 per hour
