The Role
Iberica Food is an importer and distributor of authentic Spanish and Mediterranean food in the UK, selling through wholesale, retail and online channels.
We are looking for a Warehouse Operative (Part-Time) to support our existing warehouse team during busier periods, including holidays, peak trading days and the Christmas season.
This is a part-time, flexible role suited to someone reliable and hands-on, who can step in at short notice to keep order fulfilment and warehouse operations running smoothly when demand is highest.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will help ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time, and that the warehouse remains organised, safe and well-stocked.
We need someone practical, punctual and a good team player, who can pick things up quickly and work efficiently alongside the current warehouse staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Processing: Utilise a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) and PC to pick, print, pack and dispatch orders.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and help prevent stock imbalances.
- Quality Control: Inspect deliveries for correct quantities and quality.
- Reporting: Report any stock discrepancies or damages to the Warehouse Supervisor, Head of Operations and Supply Team.
- Goods In Support: Assist with Inbound deliveries as required.
- General Duties: Perform regular warehouse cleaning to maintain a safe and organised environment, along with general hands on cleaning tasks around the site (Kitchen, Toilet etc.) and office.
- Peak Cover: Provide additional support during busy periods, staff holidays and seasonal peaks such as Christmas.
Key KPIs
- Order accuracy and on-time dispatch.
- Inventory accuracy.
- Timely reporting of stock discrepancies or damages.
- Warehouse / site cleanliness and organisation.
- Reliability and availability during peak periods.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or order fulfilment role (essential).
- Comfortable using digital handheld devices and basic warehouse systems (essential).
- Good attention to detail, particularly around stock accuracy and quality checks.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling, lifting (up to 25kg) and being on your feet for the shift.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work flexibly, including at short notice during busy periods.
- A valid UK driving licence is required, along with reliable means of commuting to our rural Henfield location.
- Food, FMCG, wholesale or retail warehouse experience would be an advantage.
What We Need From This Role
This role must provide flexible, reliable warehouse support to Iberica Ltd during periods of increased demand, ensuring order fulfilment standards are maintained and the existing warehouse team is not overstretched during busier days, holiday cover and seasonal peaks such as Christmas.
