We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Self Employed Seamstress to join our creative team. This role offers flexible working arrangements, allowing you to operate independently while delivering high-quality tailoring and alteration services. Duties
- Create customised garments and alterations based on client specifications, ensuring precision and quality.
- Select appropriate threads, and accessories to match project requirement
- Operate sewing machines and other relevant equipment efficiently, maintaining their proper condition.
- Manage your own schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a seamstress or tailor with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in using various sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.
- Excellent eye for detail and colour coordination.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients about their requirements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
- Knowledge of different fabrics, patterns, and garment construction techniques is desirable.
