Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.

We are different in lots of ways (that’s what makes us so interesting) with our ages ranging between 50s to sixty’s Couple of us not mobile but do require some physical assistance to get around our house and out and about. Two of us can walk around the home We have different challenges in our lives which include visual impairment, and learning disabilities. We have a staff team who are all trained and familiar with supporting someone with similar needs

Other interests we have are listening to music, visiting trendy coffee shops with home baking and the odd pub visit
We are fun loving, kind, caring, considerate, respectful of other people’s personal space and belongings and have a love of music.
We would not enjoy spending time with people who are bossy, pushy, running around, shouting or very noisy as it would tend to make a few of us upset
There is always at least 3 colleagues on shift.
We like our staff to work Mornings 9am-3pm Afternoon 3pm-9pm and Nights is waking night shift 9pm-9am this is 2 staff on duty overnight .sleep shift 10pm-7am
We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience.
