Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trade Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various trade activities, ensuring efficient operations and excellent customer service. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This role is a part time permanent position of 20 hours per week.
The expected hours of work are:-
Monday - Friday - 07.45 - 12.00
Duties
- Assist in coordinating trade activities and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and suppliers, providing exceptional customer service.
- Manage incoming calls and inquiries with professionalism and phone etiquette.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations for inventory management and order processing.
- Organise documentation related to trades, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and achieve operational goals.
- Sell products or services as required, demonstrating effective communication skills.
- Maintain an organised workspace to enhance productivity.
- This role will include but is not limited to heavy lifting, assisting in warehouse duties and helping with in-store deliveries.
Requirements
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory calculations.
- Excellent organisational abilities to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
- Previous experience in a similar role or environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of Sage would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Would need to be flexible to meet the demands of the business
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided.
