Monday to Friday 20.00 – 06.00 , Newton Abbott TQ12 6SQ
Main Responsibilities:
As the role requires complete flexibility with regards to the operation and accountabilities, responsibilities will include, but not limited to
- To carry out overnight deliveries and collections of ambient goods Roll cages to commercial premises within a certain mile radius of the depot. Routes are usually pre-planned on a 4-weekly cycle.
- To comply with all drivers’ hours regulations and Road Transport Directive legislation.
- To carry out all necessary checks to ensure the vehicle assigned is safe and legal and to follow appropriate Company procedures in respect of any defects identified.
- To carry out all necessary checks on your load and maintain safety and security of your load at all times in accordance with Company safe working procedures.
- Unloading and loading of Roll cages using the tail lift in accordance with Company Safe Working Procedures.
- To comply with all loading and unloading procedures in force at your defined destinations.
- To adequately secure all vehicle curtains.
- To act as Company ambassador when dealing with customers
- To comply with all Health & Safety requirements in the depot, on the road and at partners premises.
- To plan and adapt routes as necessary and feedback to your home traffic office any issues regarding routing, traffic network delays or issues with unloading/loading encountered at destination points.
- To operate all vehicle systems including digital tachographs
- To complete all paperwork promptly and obtain confirmation of delivery using the provided scanning devices.
- To complete daily debrief and tacho updates at end of shift.
- Any other driving or depot related duties assigned by your Depot General Manager.
