European Football Academy is recruiting football coaches to join our coaching team across London.
We work with players from U5–U18 across established training centres in North, Central and South London. We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic coaches who want regular paid coaching opportunities while continuing to develop their skills and progress within football.
Whether you are starting your coaching journey or already an experienced coach, we provide a structured environment where you can develop players, improve as a coach and progress within the Academy.
Many of our established part-time coaches earn approximately £700–£1,000 per month, depending on availability, responsibilities and number of coaching sessions, alongside other employment or study.

Coaching Pay & Progression
Our coaching rates range from £15 to £27.50 per hour, with a clear pathway for coaches to develop within the Academy:
Developing Coach → Football Coach → Experienced Coach → Lead Coach → Senior / Academy Lead
Your starting rate is based on a combination of:
- Coaching qualifications
- Previous coaching experience
- Performance during your practical coaching trial
- Coaching and player-management ability
- Communication and professionalism
- Level of responsibility within the Academy
Qualifications alone do not determine your starting rate.
Your role and hourly rate can increase as your coaching ability, qualifications, performance and responsibilities develop within EFA.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality youth football sessions
- Coach players from U5–U18
- Support individual and team player development
- Work within our attacking, possession-based football philosophy
- Coach weekday evening and weekend sessions
- Support teams during matches where applicable
- Communicate professionally with players, parents and colleagues
- Maintain a positive, safe and enjoyable coaching environment
Essential
- Reliable availability for agreed weekly coaching sessions
- Positive and professional approach
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to developing young footballers
- Willingness to learn and develop as a coach
- FA Introduction to Coaching Football (formerly FA Level 1), equivalent qualification, or currently working towards a recognised coaching qualification
Desirable
- UEFA C Licence or above
- Previous youth football coaching experience
- Grassroots or academy experience
- Additional coaching, teaching or sports qualifications
Working Hours
Coaching takes place primarily on weekday evenings and weekend mornings, with weekend matches where applicable.
Where possible, we aim to build a regular coaching schedule around your availability.
Locations
North London: Camden Town, Maida Vale & Brent Cross
Central / South London: Waterloo & Kennington
Where possible, coaches will be allocated to locations that suit their availability and travel requirements.
Contract Opportunities
Part-time employment and self-employed coaching opportunities are available, depending on the role and coaching schedule.
Safeguarding
The role involves working with children and young people and is subject to appropriate safer recruitment, safeguarding and DBS requirements.
