We're looking for a part-time cook/chef to join our small, busy kitchen. This role is mostly hands-on cooking — prepping and serving our daily menu — with a real bonus if you've also got some baking under your belt to help keep our deli counter looking its best.
You'll need to be confident running the kitchen on your own, so solid experience and the ability to work independently are a must. In return, you'll have the freedom to take ownership of your section and bring your own ideas to the menu over time.
What you'll be doing:
- Cooking and prepping dishes for our daily café menu
- Running the kitchen independently during service
- Keeping to our hygiene and kitchen standards
- Helping stock the deli counter with baked treats when our baker is off (baking experience welcome, not essential)
You'll be a good fit if you:
- Have solid kitchen experience and are confident working alone
- Can work with autonomy — organised, reliable, and self-motivated
- Enjoy cooking and want to learn from an experienced head chef on developing flavors
- Want flexible, part-time hours
The details:
Hours: Part-time, 22-30hrs; daytime only, generally Thursday - Sunday
Pay: £12.90 per hour after passing probation
