Overview
We are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support in a KS3 class within a pupil referral unit. Its mainly challenging behaviour, so general support with classroom.
Duties
- Encourage social interaction and behavioural development through engaging activities
- Monitor and record pupils’ progress, behaviour, and wellbeing to inform ongoing support strategies
- Support with day to day work
- Support the outdoor provision teacher with PE sessions
Qualifications
- Prior experience in teaching or supporting children within special education settings is preferred
- Knowledge of working with children across different age groups
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with pupils, colleagues, and parents
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's development and wellbeing
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy school environment
