About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and energetic General Manager to oversee Gaard – someone who’s as confident behind the coffee machine as they are running a team.
You’ll be responsible for day-to-day operations, supporting our growth, and maintaining high standards of service, food, and drink.
What You’ll Need
- Full barista training with strong coffee knowledge and service skills
- Experience in food preparation and baking (bonus if plant-based)
- Previous team leadership or management experience in hospitality
- A natural flair for organisation, people management, and problem solving
- A real passion for veggie and vegan food, sustainability, and great customer service
- Ability to work hands-on and lead by example
- A strong sense of responsibility, commercial awareness, and a desire to grow with the business
What You’ll Do
- Lead and motivate the team.
- Maintain consistently excellent coffee and food standards
- Manage rotas, stock, ordering, training, and site presentation
- Help shape menus, events, and growth opportunities
- Build strong relationships with the team, customers, and local community
- Contribute ideas and energy to drive the business forward
