About the Role
This role leads the technology, automation and process improvement agenda across the fulfilment operation. It is responsible for identifying where AI, automation and better systems can improve productivity, accuracy and cost, then delivering those improvements through clear projects. The role works closely with IT and ERP teams and with each operational department to standardise processes, build useful reporting, and move IVG towards a more process-led, technology-driven way of working at a pace that fits the business.
What You'll Do
- Develop and own the AI and technology implementation roadmap for the warehouse and fulfilment operation.
- Lead ERP optimisation, working with IT and ERP teams to improve system use, data quality and adoption.
- Deliver data analytics and reporting that give the operation clear visibility of performance.
- Design and develop KPI dashboards and live operational reporting.
- Carry out process mapping across departments to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Standardise SOPs across the operation so processes are consistent and repeatable.
- Plan and deliver digital transformation projects, including barcode scanning and ERP integration.
- Identify and progress warehouse automation opportunities suited to IVG's scale.
- Evaluate robotics and automation options, providing cost-benefit analysis and recommendations.
- Any other reasonable task assigned by your line manager in line with the needs of the business
Skills & Experience
- Experience delivering technology, automation or continuous improvement projects, ideally in warehouse, logistics or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of ERP / WMS systems and data analytics.
- Practical experience with dashboards and reporting tools (for example Power BI).
- Process mapping and SOP standardisation experience.
- Awareness of AI, automation and robotics applications in fulfilment, with a sensible, commercial view of what fits the business.
- Strong project management, communication and stakeholder skills.
- Able to translate operational problems into practical, measurable solutions
