Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated STEM Teacher to inspire and educate students in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons across various STEM disciplines, incorporating practical laboratory activities and scientific research projects.
- Mentor students to develop their understanding of complex concepts such as biochemistry, mathematics, and scientific methodologies.
- Design and adapt lesson plans to cater to different learning styles and abilities, including students with special educational needs.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a safe and productive learning environment.
- Provide tutoring support outside regular class hours to reinforce learning objectives.
- Proofread and review educational materials to ensure accuracy and clarity.
- Foster curiosity through innovative teaching strategies that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum content that aligns with educational standards and promotes scientific literacy.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching STEM subjects, particularly in biochemistry, mathematics, or related fields.
- Laboratory experience with hands-on experiments and scientific research projects.
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and guide students effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly and engagingly.
- Experience in behaviour management techniques suitable for diverse classroom environments.
- Knowledge of special education needs (SEN) and inclusive teaching practices is desirable.
- Ability to proofread educational content for accuracy and coherence.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a STEM-related subject such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is desirable.
- A Master's degree or higher qualification in a STEM field is advantageous but not essential.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) in education, STEM subjects, safeguarding, or special educational needs is desirable.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one prior to employment).
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
