Larne Community Care Centre is looking for a dedicated Childcare Manager to lead our childcare provision and support the continued growth and development of our services.

About the Role
Working alongside our senior leadership team, you will oversee the day-to-day management of our childcare services, ensuring children receive the highest standard of care while supporting and developing a dedicated team of childcare professionals.
You will play an important role in maintaining quality standards, ensuring compliance with legislation and helping to shape the future development of our childcare services.
Key Responsibilities
As Childcare Manager, you will:
- Lead the day-to-day operation of our Daycare, Pre-Pre School, Breakfast Club and After-School Club alongside our experienced Room Leaders.
- Support, motivate and develop a committed childcare team through effective leadership, supervision and coaching.
- Create a welcoming, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child feels safe, valued and supported.
- Plan and oversee engaging learning experiences that promote children's development and wellbeing.
- Ensure compliance with all childcare legislation, safeguarding requirements and The Minimum Standards for Childminding and Day Care for Children Under Age 12.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and cleanliness across all childcare settings.
- Develop, review and implement policies and procedures that reflect current legislation and best practice.
- Oversee children's records, staff documentation and operational paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers, schools and partner organisations.
- Monitor quality, identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the continued growth of the childcare provision.
- Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team and Board of Directors to support the organisation's objectives.

Essential Criteria
Applicants must have:
- RQF Level 5 Diploma in Childcare Learning and Development, Playwork, or a relevant qualification in Early Years Education, Social Work, Nursing, Teaching or Health Visiting.
OR
- RQF Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development (or equivalent) and be currently undertaking, or willing to undertake, a course leading to a Level 5 qualification while in employment.
- A minimum of two years' experience working within a childcare setting.
