Job Overview
As a Shop Assistant School Leaver, you’ll help keep the store clean, fully stocked and organised while providing excellent customer service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, takes pride in their work and wants to learn valuable retail skills. This job is physical and requires lifting of stock up and down stairs.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Replenish shelves throughout the day to ensure products are always available.
* Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) to ensure older stock is sold before newer deliveries.
* Check product dates and remove any damaged or expired items.
* Keep shelves tidy, well-presented and correctly priced.
* Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
* Organise the stockroom and ensure products are stored safely.
* Carry out regular cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, wiping shelves, cleaning fridges, tills and customer areas.
* Empty bins and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
* Help customers locate products and answer basic questions politely.
* Follow all food hygiene, health & safety and age-restricted sales policies.
* Work as part of the team to ensure the store is always ready for customers.
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Reliable and punctual. * Good communication skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Comfortable being on your feet for long periods.
* Good attention to detail, especially when rotating stock and keeping displays tidy.

* Hours for this role are mostly evenings and every Weekend
Working Hours will be as follows :
Monday, Wednesday and Friday - 5:30pm - 8:30pm
Saturday - 2:30pm - 8:30pm
Sunday - 5:30pm - 8:30pm
Pay: £8.00 per hour
