Role Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our busy Renault Trucks dealership. The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact between customers and the workshop, ensuring all service, maintenance, and repair work is managed efficiently and communicated clearly.
This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience within the commercial vehicle, automotive, or heavy goods vehicle (HGV) industry
Key Responsibilities
· Welcome customers and accurately record vehicle service and repair requirements.
· Schedule workshop appointments and coordinate with the workshop controller and technicians
· Prepare job cards, estimates, and service documentation.
· Provide customers with clear updates on repair progress, additional work required, and expected completion times.
· Obtain customer authorisation for additional repairs and associated costs.
· Liaise with Renault Trucks warranty and parts departments to ensure timely processing of claims and parts availability.
· Ensure all work is completed in line with Renault Trucks manufacturer standards and dealership processes.
· Process invoices, explain completed work to customers, and arrange vehicle handover.
· Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, vehicle history, and workshop activity using the dealership management system.
· Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, escalating issues where necessary.
· Support the achievement of workshop efficiency, labour sales, and customer satisfaction targets.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
· Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor, or similar customer service role within the automotive or commercial vehicle sector.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Good IT skills and experience using dealership or workshop management systems.
· Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
· Experience working with Renault Trucks or other HGV/commercial/passenger car vehicle brands.
· Knowledge of warranty procedures and maintenance contracts.
· Understanding of workshop operations and vehicle maintenance processes.
· Experience in invoice preparation and cost estimation.

Working Hours
· Monday to Friday 07:00 – 17:00
· Overtime may be required to meet operational needs.
