Overview
House of Tuesday owns and manages a small portfolio of distinctive, architect-designed homes, including a number of award-winning properties.
We are looking for an experienced, highly organised PA or administrator to help with the day-to-day management of our property portfolio and provide wider administrative support to the directors.
This is a varied role for someone who enjoys organising things, dealing with people and making sure that tasks are followed through. We are a small business, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, using their initiative and becoming a trusted part of the team.
The role
The initial focus will be on supporting the management of our residential properties, alongside general PA and administrative support to the directors. Responsibilities are likely to include:
- Responding to day-to-day tenant queries
- Coordinating our established network of preferred tradespeople when maintenance or repairs are required
- Arranging gas safety, electrical and other statutory inspections
- Keeping track of property maintenance, servicing and compliance requirements
- Coordinating tenancy changeovers, including check-outs and check-ins, inventories, cleaning and any required works
- Liaising with tenants, tradespeople, inventory companies and other professionals
- Maintaining property and tenancy records
- Helping us develop and manage effective online property-management and administrative systems
- Providing general PA and administrative support to the directors in their day-to-day activities
- Helping organise appointments, correspondence, records and other tasks as required
There is scope for the role to develop over time and become involved in a wider range of property, development and business activities.
About you
We expect the role would suit an experienced PA, administrator or office manager who enjoys taking responsibility and working independently.
You should be:
- Exceptionally organised, reliable and good at keeping track of things
- Friendly and confident communicating with a wide range of people
- Comfortable dealing directly with tenants and other professionals
- Good at following issues through from start to finish
- Practical and able to use your own judgement to resolve everyday problems
- Confident using email, shared drives, spreadsheets and online systems
- Able to manage a number of different tasks and priorities at the same time
- Discreet and professional when dealing with confidential or personal information
Previous property experience would be useful but is not essential. Strong administrative, organisational and communication skills are more important.
Flexible working
The role is approximately 15–20 hours per week, with considerable flexibility over how those hours are arranged. The hours can be spread across the working week rather than being concentrated into two or three full days.
Much of the role can be undertaken remotely, although we would like the successful candidate to spend some regular time working with us in the office, particularly while getting to know the properties, systems and people involved.
The position could therefore suit someone returning to work after a career break, or an experienced professional looking for a responsible part-time role that can be fitted around family or other commitments.
Pay: £25.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in London SE4 2FJ
