AV Group is recruiting professional SIA Door Supervisors to join our growing team.
We are not looking for people who simply stand on a door.

The role
You will work as part of a professional security team at licensed venues and events across Bristol.
Your duties will include
- Lead and manage a team of door supervisors, ensuring they are well-trained and carry out their responsibilities effectively.Control and monitor access to the premises, verifying the age and identification of patrons to meet legal requirements.
- Maintain a strong visible presence to deter inappropriate behaviour and enforce venue Assignment Instructions.
- Act as the point of contact for any disturbances or incidents, handling them professionally and efficiently, and liaising with management and local authorities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security and licensing laws and regulations.
- Provide outstanding customer service, assisting patrons with inquiries and concerns.
- Monitor the surroundings to identify potential security risks and address them proactively.
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records of events during your shift.
- Collaborate with the venue’s management and local authorities as needed.
What we expect
- SIA (Security Industry Authority) Door Supervisor License
- Proven experience in a similar role with strong leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to security and licensing.
- Strong customer-focused and service-oriented approach.
- Flexibility to work on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights and other days as needed.
- Previous experience is useful, but attitude, professionalism and judgement matter more. We do not tolerate aggressive behaviour, poor standards, drug use, inappropriate relationships, dishonesty or officers who avoid responsibility.

Who this role suits

Hours: Evenings, nights, weekends and event shifts
Contract: Self-employed/flexible, part-time and regular hours available
Licence required: Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
Pay: £15.50-£19.50 per hour
