As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team and help shape the next chapter of our food offering.
The Role
As a Chef at The Winchester Orangery, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional dishes that reflect our commitment to quality, creativity and consistency. You’ll work closely with the wider team to prepare, cook and present dishes to a high standard, while maintaining a positive, collaborative kitchen culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes to specification, ensuring consistency and high presentation standards
- Support menu development with seasonal ideas and creative input
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards at all times
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and waste management
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while staying calm and organised
- Contribute to a supportive, respectful and team‑focused kitchen environment
- Ensure all dietary requirements and allergen procedures are followed correctly

You will have:
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen
- Strong cooking skills and a genuine love for fresh, seasonal ingredients
