Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Group Reporting & Control to lead our financial reporting functions across the organisation. This pivotal role involves overseeing the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining robust financial controls. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial management and accounting software, with a focus on delivering accurate and timely reports to support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities
- Lead the group reporting team in preparing consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage the organisation’s compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard organisational assets and ensure data integrity.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices in financial reporting and control procedures across all business units.
- Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant systems to streamline reporting processes.
- Supervise accounts payable functions and ensure efficient management of organisational finances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
Experience
- Proven experience in senior financial management roles specialising in group reporting and control.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant platforms.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles, regulatory standards, and internal controls.
- Demonstrable experience in managing large teams within a complex organisational structure.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Prior experience working within organisations utilising multiple accounting systems is advantageous.
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA are highly desirable but not essential. This role is ideal for a dedicated finance professional seeking a leadership position that combines strategic oversight with operational excellence in financial reporting and control.
Pay: £85,000.00-£95,000.00 per year
