Linthwaite House is part of the Leeu Collection’s luxury hospitality portfolio, and we are looking for a Laundry Assistant to join the Team, in our beautiful hotel overlooking Lake Windermere.
Part time considered
With a fabulous eye for detail, you will have ideally worked in a similar environment, you will be working in our in house laundry where we wash towelling and some white linen that requires pressing. In addition the roles supports turndown service int he hotel, ensuring the rooms are welcoming and clean for the return of the guests in the evening.
This is a full time role, working 5 days over 7, however there may be an opportunity to work part time or shorter shift patterns.
Laundry Assistant Requirements:
- Experience in a similar position be considered a strong asset
- Advanced use of English language
- Extra languages will be considered an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Manage to work alone but have a Teamwork spirit

Linthwaite House is located in the heart of the Lake District and set in 14 acres (5.7 hectares) of established gardens and well-maintained woodland grounds with a private tarn. The property boasts breathtaking views over Lake Windermere and the fells beyond. The Lake District is renowned for its glacial ribbon lakes, rugged fell mountains and historic literary associations, as well as traditional inns and galleries displaying local art. It has recently been awarded World Heritage status.
Linthwaite House has 36 individually designed rooms.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operations of the laundry facility, ensuring cleanliness and organisation of the workspace.
- Operate washing and drying machines efficiently, adhering to safety protocols.
- Sort, wash, and fold linens and garments, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with team members and hotel staff to coordinate laundry needs.
- Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and report any shortages.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all laundry processes.
- Support with Housekeeping responsibilities as required
