The Role
As a Teacher of History, you will:
Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Inspire students through the study of British, European, and world history.
Plan and deliver lessons that challenge, engage, and support learners of all abilities.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress to ensure strong outcomes.
Develop students’ enquiry, source analysis, and critical thinking skills.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
Support enrichment opportunities, including educational visits and extracurricular activities.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching History across KS3 and KS4.
Excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for History.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
High expectations of student achievement and progress.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
The ability to contribute positively to a successful Humanities department.
