** Multi Skilled Maintenance Person - For Hotels, Residential Properties in London W2 + Other locations
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team for the hotels along with associated residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in electrical, mechanical, minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, skimming and maintenance tasks. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure that all equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards, contributing to the overall efficiency of operations. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle both routine and non-routine tasks efficiently.
Salary: £ 32,000 per year, Full-time (Salary is reviewable based on performance).
Work hours: You will work 40 hours a week over 5-6 days, with some flexibility on weekends. You should be available to work on weekends. The selected candidate will need to travel to various locations across London as required by the job and company properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks and ensure ongoing health and safety compliance.
- Handle a variety of maintenance duties including building repairs, painting, decoration and minor plumbing, electrical work.
- Carry out necessary repairs to ensure smooth operation of hotel facilities.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints related to hotel facilities and equipment.
- Work closely with other hotel departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
- Keep detailed logs of all maintenance and repair work.
- Communicate effectively in English to coordinate with team members and guests.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in carpentry, electrical work, painting, tiling, mechanical and plumbing maintenance.
- Ability to repair furniture, construct shelves, install switches, replace plugs, apply paint and finishes, repair drywall, and disassemble/reassemble equipment.
- Experience in hotel maintenance is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds etc are advantageous.
- A clean UK driving licence is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with 40 hours per week on a rota basis. You will work 40 hours a week over 5 -6 days, with some flexibility on weekends. You should be available to work on weekends.
- Flexibility in working hours is required.
- Immediate or near-immediate start is preferred.
