We are looking to recruit an experienced Solicitor or Paralegal with substantial experience in UK Immigration and Litigation to join a new and ambitious solicitors' practice.
This is an opportunity to join the firm at an early stage of its development and to play an important role in developing its Immigration and Litigation practice.
Location is not a barrier. We are happy to consider candidates based anywhere in the UK who are able to work effectively from home. London-based candidates who prefer office or hybrid working are equally welcome to apply.
The successful candidate should have strong practical experience in UK immigration law and be capable of handling matters with an appropriate degree of independence. Experience in civil litigation, public law or judicial review would be particularly advantageous.
The role may include immigration and human rights applications, Skilled Worker and sponsor licence matters, immigration appeals, First-tier and Upper Tribunal proceedings, judicial review, preparation of witness statements and detailed legal representations, preparation of bundles, general litigation work and liaison with clients, counsel, the Home Office, courts and tribunals.
We are particularly interested in candidates with strong drafting and analytical skills, good client-care skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage their own workload and deadlines.
As the firm is at an early stage of its development, this role would particularly suit someone who would like to grow with the practice rather than simply occupy a fixed position. For the right candidate, there will be scope to take greater responsibility as the firm develops and to contribute directly to the growth of the Immigration and Litigation departments.
