Kinfauns Veterinary Centre is looking to welcome an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to our growing team, based primarily at our Dovercourt surgery in Harwich.
Our practice is continuing to grow, with increasing demand from our local clients, and we’re excited to expand our veterinary team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced vet who wants more than simply a job - you’ll have the chance to play an important part in shaping the future of a practice as we continue to invest, develop and build our team.
Our Dovercourt surgery offers a friendly, community-focused environment, with a full reception team and two nurses on site each day to support the vets, alongside running their own nurse clinics. We also have operating days available, providing opportunities to develop your clinical interests.
As the practice continues to grow, there will be opportunities to contribute ideas, introduce new ways of working and help us develop the service we offer to our clients and their pets.
The Role:

37.33 hours per week, worked across approximately 3 - 4 days and 1 in 3 Saturdays

Based primarily at Dovercourt, Harwich, with occasional shifts at our Little Clacton surgery

Some sole-charge responsibility, so previous experience and confidence working independently are important

An experienced Small Animal Vet who is confident managing a varied first-opinion caseload

Comfortable working independently and undertaking some sole-charge responsibilities

A confident clinician who enjoys building relationships with clients and providing high-quality patient care

A team player who enjoys working collaboratively with nurses, reception and colleagues

Someone who is excited by the opportunity to join a growing practice and contribute to its continued development

Keen to bring ideas, skills and enthusiasm as we build a larger veterinary team for the future

About the Practice:
Kinfauns Veterinary Centre is an RCVS-accredited small animal, first-opinion practice with a strong focus on providing excellent clinical care alongside a genuinely friendly and supportive service.
Our Dovercourt surgery in Harwich is a community-focused practice with a growing client base and increasing demand. We are looking to expand the veterinary team to meet this demand and continue developing the practice.
While there are currently no X-ray facilities at Dovercourt, the wider practice provides opportunities to work across our two sites, including our Little Clacton surgery.
