Duties
- Oversee the daily operation of the store, coordinating activities across the grocery and dedicated butcher sections to maintain efficient service.
- Lead the retail team, allocate responsibilities and assess staff performance to maintain operational standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenishment, ensuring sufficient supplies of fresh and frozen foods, spices, confectionery and other products.
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints, taking appropriate action to resolve concerns relating to products, purchases and service.
- Review sales performance, introducing suitable pricing, offers and promotional activities to support revenue growth.
- Assess product quality, freshness and presentation, particularly for meat and other perishable goods.
- Maintain financial, stock and operational records and monitor cash-handling and store security procedures.
Skills
- Proven management experience within a retail environment with a strong track record of supervising teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
- Demonstrated expertise in sales management, merchandising, and inventory control.
