CellTech Communications Limited, is a fast-paced mobile telecommunications company based in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, specialising in the build, maintenance, and upgrades of mobile phone sites across the UK. Due to continued growth and the award of new contracts, we are looking for motivated Field Electricians to join our expanding Mechanical & Electrical Department.
This is a hands-on, site-based role working on telecommunications infrastructure projects nationwide. You will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, and commissioning works on live and new-build mobile network sites while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and workmanship.
The Role
As a Field Electrician, you will:
- Carry out electrical installation works on telecommunications sites throughout the UK.
- Install containment systems, cable infrastructure, power distribution equipment, and associated electrical systems.
- Complete electrical testing, inspection, and commissioning activities.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with current regulations, engineering specifications, and BS7671 requirements.
- Submit site documentation, testing certificates, and photographic records accurately and on time.
- Work closely with Project Engineers, Site Managers, and other trades to deliver projects safely and within programme.
- Identify and communicate material shortages, design concerns, and site issues promptly.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards on site at all times.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified Electrician with relevant industry experience.
- Hold a recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Possess a current ECS/JIB Gold Card (preferred).
- Have a good understanding of BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
- Be experienced in testing and inspection (2391 qualification desirable).
- Have excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
- Be comfortable working away from home when required.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Be reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Desirable Experience
- Telecommunications industry experience.
- Working on mobile network infrastructure sites.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience working in fast-paced project environments.
