Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our Company.
The role involves one trip per week over two days with salary of £450 per trip plus £25 per night allowance.
Experience to Northern Ireland would be an advantage, normally between Birkenhead and Belfast which includes cabin and meals on board.
May be a second one day trip every 3 or 4 weeks
The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. This role involves transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.
Duties
- Operate Articulated lorry for the safe transportation of goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or inquiries professionally.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with Articulated lorries.
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) is essential.
- Familiarity with road safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
- Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining records and documentation.
