Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
Location: Bonnyrigg or Musselburgh (On-site)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Salary: £32,000 – £46,500 (depending on experience)

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and reliable Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our busy workshop team. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of vehicles, including cars, vans and SUVs, carrying out everything from routine servicing and repairs to more complex diagnostic work and engine rebuilds.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship and enjoys working in a hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Complete vehicle inspections and identify any repairs or maintenance required.
- Perform repairs efficiently while ensuring all work meets manufacturer and industry standards.
- Accurately record work completed and any parts used.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure jobs are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Keep up to date with new vehicle technologies, repair methods and industry developments through ongoing training.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems, including engines, gearboxes, braking systems and electrical components.
- Confident using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
- Excellent fault-finding abilities and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy workshop.
- Full UK driving licence.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3–4 years' automotive experience.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to reliably commute to either our Bonnyrigg (EH19 3JQ) or Musselburgh (EH21 6RD) workshop.
- This is a full-time, permanent position and is not suitable for temporary or part-time applicants.
