We’re currently hiring for a Nightshift Vehicle Loader at our Southampton depot. The role will include working to ensure all delivered vehicles are loaded safely, in a timely manner and according to all company procedures. You will be working as part of a key supportive team within the depot, where you will take ownership in the loading of all vehicles to go out delivering the next day with good attention to detail and can work well in a busy environment.
What will you be doing as a Nights Vehicle Loader?
- The loading of all delivery vehicles each night
- Working alongside other employees to help load the vehicles
- Ensuring all cages and pallets are loaded safely and securely onto vehicles
- Taking responsibility for the zone that you are supervising; this includes ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained
- Supporting other departments as required
What do you need to be a Nights Vehicle Loader?
- Excellent work ethic is required, as well as punctuality and reliability
- Initiative and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team to guide them
- Good time management as you will be working at speed and to deadlines
- Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet targets
- Able to work in a high-volume, sometimes physically challenging role
- Must hold a valid UK driving licence
- Experience and a licence driving a forklift truck – Counterbalance
