A care job without the restrictions of a care home.
We are looking for a Personal Assistant and Carer to join our friendly team of three carers. You will provide high quality one to one support to a young man in his family home. Your role will focus on comfort wellbeing and supporting an active and happy daily life.
We can offer up to 35 five hours per week.
He has a cheeky sense of humour and enjoys a good laugh.
He is non verbal and clearly communicates his likes and dislikes in his own way.
He has autism and well controlled epilepsy.
He enjoys walks and taking part in activities in the local community.
Supporting daily routines including personal care dressing and meal preparation.
Encouraging social interaction and community outings.
Administering medication as required.
Completing minimal paperwork.
Working closely with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent and person centred care.
Good spoken and written English.
Previous experience in home care or a similar caring role.
The ability to follow care plans while adapting to changing needs.
A driving licence is helpful but not essential.
A competitive hourly rate of £13.30 per hour.
A structured three week rolling rota including 1 full weekend on then 2 weekends off.
Six hour shifts with a mix of 8am to 2pm and 2pm to 8pm.
Opportunities for extra hours to cover holidays and absences.
An immediate start for the right person.
