We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our team in Wigan's newest games venue flipping burgers, frying chicken and topping Detroit pizzas . In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality . Your leadership will inspire creativity, uphold food safety standards, and foster a collaborative environment that motivates your team to excel. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency across all menu items
- Manage food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining efficiency during peak hours while adhering to recipes and portion controls
- Implement and uphold strict food safety and sanitation protocols in compliance with health regulations
- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management,
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimize profitability
- Train team members on culinary techniques, safety procedures, and hospitality standards to enhance overall performance
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced fast food kitchen or restaurant environment
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective team management skills
- Solid understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience at a managerial level is highly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
