HGV Class 1 Driver – Oswestry
Reporting to: Transport Manager
Location: Oswestry Depot
About the Role
We are currently recruiting a number of HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team based at our Oswestry depot.
We understand the importance of work-life balance, which is why we offer flexible start times and shift patterns that can be tailored where possible to accommodate family life and other commitments.
You will be delivering to a variety of RDCs and NDCs, primarily in the Leeds and Hatfield areas. This is a 5 out of 7-day rolling shift pattern, with regular overtime opportunities available.
What We Offer
- Flexible start times with a 4-hour start window to assist with planning around childcare and personal commitments.
- Average shift length of 10 hours.
- £50 bonus paid on top of your hourly rate for each overtime shift worked.
- Full training provided for fridge and double deck trailers (previous experience is desirable but not essential).
- One Driver CPC course paid for each year, or a £35 allowance if you arrange and book your own CPC training.
Pay Rates
- Monday to Friday: £15.50 per hour
- Saturday: £17.50 per hour
- Sunday: £19.50 per hour
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence
- A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- A minimum of 2 years' Class 1 driving experience
- Previous RDC, store delivery or multi-drop experience is preferred
- A professional attitude with excellent communication and customer service skills
- No DD, DR, CD, CU, IN, LC, TT or XX endorsements
- No more than 6 penalty points
