We’re currently seeking HGV Class 1 Drivers to support our nationwide distribution operations and ensure the timely delivery of our premium food products across the UK.
Job Summary
As an HGV Class 1 Night Driver, you’ll play a vital role in transporting our products safely and efficiently from our manufacturing facilities to our distribution depots. Your routes will include Scotland, Bristol, Watford and Milton Keynes. This is a night shift role working Sunday through Wednesday, ideal for those who prefer consistent evening hours. You’ll be part of a team that upholds the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and food integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in line with Road Traffic Acts and company policies.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of food products to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and complete relevant documentation.
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and digital logs.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and food safety regulations.
- Follow designated routes and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams.
- Handle and transport food products securely and hygienically.
- Report any vehicle defects, issues, or incidents promptly.
Skills & Attributes
- No experience necessary – full training will be provided.
- Strong navigation and route-planning skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to meet delivery deadlines.
- Good communication skills and teamwork.
- Physically capable of handling tasks related to loading/unloading.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Driver CPC qualification.
- Availability to work night shifts (Sunday to Wednesday).
