We're looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Work Placement Officer to join our Employer Engagement team, supporting learners within our Construction curriculum. This is far more than arranging placements - you'll coach and support students throughout their journey, helping them become work-ready while working closely with employers to create positive placement experiences.
Working alongside our Employer Engagement Consultant, you'll prepare learners for the workplace, support them throughout their placements and build strong relationships with employers to ensure every placement delivers real value.
Your role will include:
- Coaching and preparing students for the workplace through employability and workplace readiness sessions.
- Supporting learners to build confidence, professionalism and the behaviours employers value.
- Working with construction employers to source meaningful industry placements.
- Matching students with the right placement opportunities.
- Building strong relationships with employers and acting as the key point of contact throughout the placement.
- Visiting learners on placement to provide coaching, monitor progress and support both the learner and employer.
- Working with curriculum teams to help students achieve successful outcomes and progress into employment or apprenticeships.

- Is organised, proactive and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- Wants to make a genuine difference to the future construction workforce.
You will have:
- GCSEs in English and Maths A*-C/9-4 or equivalent
- A relevant Level 3 qualification or relevant experience
- An understanding of Health and Safety principles, or be willing to undertake appropriate training
The role of the Work Placement Officer is varied, and every day is different with new challenges. You will get to meet and support our Construction students and employers as you co-ordinate the work placement process.
