This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Design team and support the delivery of engineering projects through the production of electrical designs, drawings and technical documentation.
You will be joining a collaborative team, working across projects involving LV and HV electrical networks, power generation and distribution systems, as well as supporting the Projects, Sales and Service departments.
The Role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will design and develop LV and HV electrical networks, power generation and distribution systems, as well as DC systems for BESS projects.
You will produce electrical designs and technical documentation, develop LV/HV protection schemes, undertake cable sizing and prepare specifications for switchboards, transformers and other electrical equipment.
Working closely with colleagues, clients, DNOs and suppliers, you will support multi-discipline projects, helping to maintain the timely flow of technical information and carrying out site visits to support design progress and as-built updates.
About You
To be considered as an Electrical Design Engineer, you will need:
- To hold a City & Guilds Level HND - Electrical Engineering
- To have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a construction or engineering background
- To have proficiency in AutoCAD, with experience using it to produce accurate electrical drawings
- To have demonstrable experience with Trimble / Amtech
- To have effective IT skills and competence in the use of Microsoft Office Packages
- To hold a full current driving licence
Hours of Work: 8:30AM - 5:00PM Mon - Thurs & 8:30AM - 4:00PM Friday.
Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
