Rocliff is a growing commercial workwear laundry providing high-quality workwear services to customers across a range of industries. We are looking for a motivated, reliable and experienced Senior Production Operative to support our production team and help maintain high standards of quality and productivity.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading by example, working in a fast-paced environment and developing others while remaining hands-on within the production operation.
The Role
As a Senior Production Operative, you will work alongside the Production Supervisor to ensure the daily operation runs safely, efficiently and on schedule. You will be expected to lead from the front, support colleagues, monitor performance and maintain our high standards of quality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate production operatives throughout the shift.
- Ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Monitor quality standards and ensure customer garments are processed correctly.
- Support the training and development of new and existing employees.
- Allocate work across departments based on daily priorities.
- Assist with garment sorting, washing, scanning and packing operations.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Carry out daily equipment and housekeeping checks.
- Identify production issues and work with supervisors to resolve them.
- Record production data and communicate shift performance.
- Promote a positive, professional and team-focused working environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the laundry.
- Be a key holder for the business and to open/close the plant.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience working within a commercial laundry, industrial laundry or similar production/manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of production processes and workflow.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and support colleagues.
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance.
- Comfortable working in a physically active role.
- Basic IT skills.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a senior operative, team leader or supervisory role.
- Experience working to production KPIs.
- Knowledge of commercial workwear processing.
- Health & Safety awareness.
- First Aid or Fire Marshal training (training can be provided).

Working Environment
This is a physically active role within a busy commercial laundry. Duties involve standing for extended periods, lifting laundry bags and garments, working around industrial machinery and maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.
