Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming environment.
- Manage patient appointments by scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary.
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly, directing enquiries appropriately and taking accurate messages.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with data protection regulations.
- Handle administrative tasks such as processing paperwork, filing, and managing correspondence.
- Assist with billing procedures, including processing payments and issuing receipts.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth daily operations within the practice.
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Skills
- Proven office experience or previous administrative experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite or similar programmes.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive patient information discreetly.
