Executive Assistant
The Company
Winebuyers is an online platform for the contemporary wine consumer. Our aim is simple – bring wine into the 21st century. We connect vineyards and wine merchants directly to the end consumer, revolutionising what has until now, been a very traditional industry. We don’t mark up prices or charge commission on any item sold, meaning that through our platform, members can purchase products at exactly the same price as they would from the source. Our mission is to make wine from all over the world accessible to everyone who’s as passionate about wine as we are. At Winebuyers you can expect a fast-paced but fun environment, where every team member plays a crucial part in the success of our company.
Personal Assistant (Part-Time)
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 pro rata (depending on experience) Hours: 20 hours per week Location: Remote (occasional travel to London and Bedfordshire for events — infrequent) Job type: Part-time, permanent
About the Role
We're looking for a proactive, highly organised Personal Assistant to support a busy founder/executive on a part-time basis. This is a varied role covering diary management, correspondence, task coordination, and general administrative support. It suits someone who enjoys autonomy, is comfortable managing shifting priorities, and takes genuine satisfaction in keeping someone else's professional and personal life running smoothly.
The role is almost entirely remote. You'll need to be reliably available and responsive during agreed working hours, with occasional in-person attendance required for events in London or Bedfordshire (rare — expect only a handful of times a year).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritise a busy inbox and calendar, scheduling meetings and resolving conflicts
- Draft, proofread, and send correspondence on behalf of the employer
- Coordinate travel arrangements, bookings, and itineraries
- Handle ad hoc personal administration (appointments, household admin, purchases, etc.)
- Prepare briefing notes and organise information ahead of meetings or events
- Liaise with external contacts, suppliers, and service providers professionally
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement across personal and professional matters
- Assist with occasional project-based tasks and research
- Keep track of ongoing tasks and follow up proactively without needing to be chased
About You
- Previous experience as a PA, EA, or in a similar administrative/support role
- Excellent written English and strong attention to detail
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Discreet and trustworthy — comfortable handling sensitive information
- Confident using common productivity tools (email, calendar, cloud storage, messaging apps)
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively without close supervision
- Based in or near London/Bedfordshire preferred, but not essential given the remote nature of the role
What We Offer
- £30,000 - £36,000 pro rata, depending on experience
- 20 hours per week, with flexibility on how these are structured
- Almost fully remote working
- The opportunity to work closely with a founder in a varied, trust-based role
