Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and safety issues using diagnostic tools and techniques
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, steering components, and other vehicle parts
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to disassemble, repair, or replace vehicle components
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large parts or equipment
- Maintain accurate service records detailing work performed, parts used, and time spent on each vehicle
- Follow safety protocols consistently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Communicate clearly with team members regarding repair status, parts needed, or additional services required
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle repair and maintenance
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and ratchets
- Experience working with power tools for efficient repairs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy vehicle parts or equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team
- Relevant certifications or training in automotive repair are preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential
