About the Role
We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and experienced cleaner to carry out high-quality end-of-tenancy and communal-area cleaning across London.
The successful candidate will work at a variety of residential properties, including houses, flats, apartment blocks, and shared communal spaces. You will be responsible for ensuring each property is cleaned thoroughly, professionally, and to a consistently high standard.
This role is well suited to someone who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, can work independently, and is comfortable travelling to different locations across London.
Key Responsibilities End-of-Tenancy Cleaning
- Carry out thorough deep cleaning of houses, flats, and other residential properties.
- Clean kitchens, including ovens, hobs, extractor fans, cupboards, sinks, worktops, appliances, and floors.
- Deep-clean bathrooms, including toilets, baths, showers, sinks, tiles, mirrors, and fittings.
- Clean bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, and other internal areas.
- Vacuum and mop floors, clean skirting boards, and remove dust from surfaces.
- Clean internal windows, frames, ledges, doors, handles, switches, and sockets.
- Remove limescale, grease, dirt, stains, and other visible marks where possible.
- Ensure properties are left clean, fresh, hygienic, and ready for inspection by landlords, tenants, or managing agents.
- Report any damage, maintenance issues, or items requiring specialist attention.
Communal-Area Cleaning
- Clean communal hallways, staircases, landings, entrances, and reception areas.
- Vacuum carpets and sweep or mop hard flooring.
- Clean lifts, handrails, bannisters, doors, glass panels, and other frequently touched surfaces.
- Clean shared kitchens, toilets, bin areas, and other communal facilities where required.
- Remove cobwebs, dust, litter, and general debris.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
- Follow site-specific cleaning schedules and complete all assigned duties within the agreed time.
Essential Requirements
- Previous professional cleaning experience, preferably in end-of-tenancy, deep cleaning, or communal cleaning.
- An up-to-date Basic DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one before starting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent results.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and professional.
- Physically able to carry out cleaning duties, including bending, lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to follow instructions, cleaning checklists, and health and safety procedures.
- Flexibility to travel to different properties across London.
- Good communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with clients, tenants, residents, landlords, and property managers.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
Preferred Requirements
- Access to a personal vehicle and a valid UK driving licence.
- Your own professional cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Experience using specialist equipment and cleaning products.
- Knowledge of COSHH, safe chemical handling, and general workplace health and safety.
- Availability for flexible hours, including some early mornings, evenings, or weekends where required.
Applicants without their own vehicle or equipment may still be considered, depending on experience, availability, and ability to travel reliably between locations.
