Overview
Sidewalk Hospitality Limited is seeking a passionate, skilled, and dedicated Chef to join our growing hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality food, maintaining excellent kitchen standards, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting dishes to company standards while supporting the efficient operation of the kitchen. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, leadership, and a commitment to food safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present food in accordance with company recipes, specifications, and quality standards.
- Assist in the day-to-day management of kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Supervise and support kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, presentation, and portion control.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering, receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report shortages or damaged goods.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene regulations at all times.
- Contribute creative ideas for menu development, seasonal specials, and new dishes.
- Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and kitchen procedures.
- Work collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff to deliver an excellent dining experience.
- Minimise food waste and assist in controlling food and labour costs.
- Support busy service periods and undertake additional duties as reasonably required by management.

Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef or similar role within a professional restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
- Experience supervising or supporting kitchen staff.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
- Good understanding of stock control, inventory management, and cost control.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Working Hours
- 40 hours per week.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays according to business needs.
Salary
- Up to £28,000 per annum depending on experience, payable monthly, subject to statutory deductions.
