Northridge Care Group is recruiting for Waking Nights Residential Childcare Workers to join our children's residential homes. Our services support young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), learning disabilities (LD), autism, and other complex needs.
This is an opportunity to work within a children's residential care setting, providing consistent, high-quality overnight support and contributing to positive outcomes for young people.
About Northridge
Founded in 2020, Northridge has grown from a single children's home into a trusted multi-service provider across Lancashire and the Northwest.
Our organisation is built on a clear mission: to improve outcomes for children and young people through high-quality care, education, and specialist support. Everything we do is centred on creating safe, nurturing environments where young people can thrive and reach their full potential.
The Role
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Waking Nights Residential Childcare Workers to provide overnight care and support to children and young people. You will play a vital role in ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and comfort throughout the night, responding to their individual needs while maintaining a calm, supportive environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality overnight care within children's residential homes (EBD and LD services)
- Supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs, learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs
- Carrying out personal care where required, ensuring dignity, privacy, and respect at all times
- Completing regular welfare checks and responding appropriately to incidents or emergencies during the night
- Promoting a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all young people
- Maintaining accurate daily records, incident reports, and handover documentation
- Supporting the implementation of care plans and behaviour support strategies
- Safeguarding and advocating for young people, following all safeguarding procedures
- Contributing to maintaining Ofsted standards and a safe residential environment
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people while providing the reassurance and support they need overnight.
What We're Looking For
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who are qualified in Residential Childcare (or hold an equivalent qualification), or who can demonstrate strong relevant experience in children's residential settings.
Why Join Us?
At Northridge Care Group, we value our people as much as the young people we support.
We offer:
- Excellent pay scales
- Clear development and progression plans
- Comprehensive training and induction
- Recognition schemes including Employee of the Quarter and bonuses linked to company performance
- Company-paid events, seasonal functions, and team-building activities
If you are resilient, compassionate, and committed to helping young people achieve their potential, we'd love to hear from you.
Training Requirement
All successful candidates will be required to commit to a 2-week onsite training and induction programme before starting shifts. This ensures you are fully prepared to deliver safe, high-quality care in line with our standards.
Should you have any questions about this role, please do not hesitate to email our internal recruiter, Harshika, at [email protected] or WhatsApp 07449 251426.
