What does the role involve?
As a Land Quality Consultant/Assistant Consultant, you'll undertake site and office based work, supporting delivery of land quality assessment and brownfield regeneration schemes in the UK and abroad for a range of public and private sector clients.
Typical duties will include:

Providing consultancy services in relation to geo-environmental assessments

Preparing and undertaking factual and interpretative geo-environmental reports.

Site supervision (appropriate to experience) and routine monitoring during site investigations, remediation, demolition and construction programmes as required, including liaison with internal/external clients and sub-contractors.

Acting as project manager on small sized projects and progress towards managing larger projects.

Assist in the production of proposals/bids.

Assist in general business development on behalf of Sweco and develop strong customer relationships.

Preparing drawings and well written, clear, accurate reports.
What do you need to be successful in the role?

Qualified to degree level, preferably to MSc level in a relevant technical subject.

Working towards Chartership or be prepared to work towards Chartership with an appropriate professional body.

Good understanding of best practice guidance, regulation and legislation in contaminated land.

Applied knowledge and understanding of Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations.

Proven experience in delivering site visits, investigations and/or remediation works in line with the highest health, safety and environmental standards.

Track record in design and supervision of site investigation works including experience in a variety of techniques, good site management, supervision of contractors, soil logging, chemical and geotechnical sampling and analysis, gas and groundwater monitoring.

Demonstrated experience in collecting, managing, analysing, and interpreting data.

Experience in technical report writing including Phase 1 desk studies, factual and interpretative ground investigations, remediation option appraisals and verification reports.

Full driving licence.
