RoRo Driver – HGV Class 2
Multi Trades Recruitment, working on behalf of our client, is looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 RoRo Driver to cover the Reading and Chiltern areas of England.
Pay Rate: £16.10 per hour
The Role
You will be responsible for the safe collection and delivery of RoRo containers, ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and in line with transport, health & safety and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out RoRo container collections and deliveries.
- Safely load, secure and position containers.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Follow drivers' hours, working time and road safety regulations.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately.
- Maintain communication with the transport team throughout the working day.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
- Report any accidents, incidents or operational issues promptly.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, safe and roadworthy.
- Work safely and responsibly at all times.
Requirements
- Full HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous RoRo driving experience is preferred.
- Experience within waste, recycling or construction is advantageous.
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and road safety requirements.
- Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach.
- Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
